Experience
I began my career by providing support to children with autism and their families, addressing challenges related to learning difficulties, social skills, and activities of daily living.
Subsequently, I dedicated over a decade to the healthcare sector, gaining experience in both the NHS and private organisations. Initially, working in the Operating Theatres, I later transitioned to the wards, where my responsibilities included ensuring the safe discharge of patients.
Throughout my professional journey, I have volunteered with several counselling charities, such as Samaritans, Mind, Crossroads Care and Dove, offering support to people during their most vulnerable times.
My primary areas of focus in counselling include bereavement and loss, self-esteem, anxiety, and confidence-related issues.
My Approach
The first step towards seeking external support to help you deal with emotional issues is a difficult one to make. It takes courage to seek guidance and comfort around issues that are still too often belittled by society. If you are reading this, be proud that you are considering making this step.

I believe that the relationship between a therapist and their client is key in achieving therapeutic change. I work with my clients towards building a trusting, non-judgemental and honest relationship.

I aim to empower you to talk freely and work through your issues, whether they are causing you anxiety, anger, heartache or distress, or you want to discuss feelings that you have never been able to explore before.

I am trained in integrative therapy, which means that I can use a number of skills and theories such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred and Transactional Analysis. I will work at your pace and adapt the therapy in a way that best suits your needs in order to help you achieve your goals.

I believe that counselling offers invaluable support if you are coming to terms with life changing experiences or you want to understand certain emotions with the help of someone who is both objective and has no hidden agenda.
